Residents are reminded that First Selectman Daniel Rosenthal has launched a new program that has him walking and talking with constituents on a regular basis.

Walk & Talk with The First Selectman was launched last month. Mr Rosenthal has announced he will meet residents outside the southern entrance of Newtown Municipal Center at 12:45 every other Friday to walk the trails of the town-owned campus. Each walk will last approximately 45 minutes, and questions and conversations are encouraged.

For those unable to join the first selectman for the walk, Mr Rosenthal has also said he will be available in his office for another 45 minutes following each outing.

A handful of residents joined Mr Rosenthal for the program when it debuted on May 24. He plans to continue the Walk & Talk events until August 30.

Mr Rosenthal has also announced that he will be available on Tuesday, June 25, from 5:45 until 6:45, for an early evening Walk & Talk.
