As the two vehicles approached the intersection of Riverside Road, Washington Avenue, Church Hill Road, and Glen Road in Sandy Hook Center, the Chevrolet attempted to go straight onto Church Hill Road, but the Subaru made a left turn in front of the Chevrolet in attempting to enter Glen Road, police said.

The two vehicles collided in the intersection. There were no injuries.

In investigating the crash, police charged Wark with driving under the influence, failure to grant the right of way, operating a motor vehicle while under suspension, operating a motor vehicle without minimum automotive insurance, misuse of marker plates, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

Police released Wark on a $500 bond for a July 11 appearance in Danbury Superior Court to answer the charges.
