Midget Softball All-Stars

For the first time, the Newtown Girls Softball League held a Midget Division All-Star game. The Blue team won, 8-5, over the Red as all the girls had a chance to play – and play different positions. The All-Stars were - (Blue) Nicole Benzinger, Stacey Broughton, Colleen Murphy, Dayna Djonne, Marley Koschel, Jaclyn Van Waalwijk, Kendra O’Connor, Allison Rambone, Katy Caulfield, Alyssa Krueger, Katie Bowen and Sara Pollock. (Red) – Adelle Cerreta, Nicole Reyen, Katie Power, Samantha Ross, Elissa Robertson, Renate Villarreal, Meagen Dawley, Katie Serock, Maggie Kimball, Nora Lynn Shinko, Melissa Fracker, Nicole Alberico, and Christina Zadrovitz. Coaches of the Blue team were Dave Broughton and Donna Van Waalwijk while the coaches of the Red team were Jim Robertson, Dan O’Handley and Mike Serock.
