Mr & Mrs John Siwik

Kara Pond and John Siwik were married at Our Lady of the Cedars Melkite Catholic Church in Manchester, N.H., on May 12, 2007. The groom is a former resident of Newtown.

The Reverend Thomas Steinmetz performed the ceremony. A reception followed in the church’s hall.

The groom is the son of Robert and Sharon Siwik of Newtown.

The bride is the daughter of Russell and Mary Jo Pond of Nashua, N.H. She was given into marriage by her father.

Maid of honor was Noreen Pond, also of Nashua. Bridesmaids were Mary Cullen of Litchfield, N.H., Jessica Lewis of Lisbon, N.H., and Suzanne Lange of Davidson, N.C.

The best man was Larry Siwik of Brookfield. Ushers were Peter Siwik of York, Penn.’ Bobby Siwik of Woodbury, and Louis Toenjes of Oklahoma.

The bride graduated from Nashua North High School in 2000. She is a licensed nursing assistant at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua.

The groom graduated from St Louis De Montfort Academy in Herndon, Penn., in 1998. He is currently a security officer for Securitas Security in Manchester.

Following their honeymoon in The White Mountains of New Hampshire, the Siwiks have returned to their home in Hudson, N.H.
