To the Editor:July 6, The Newtown Bee]. I cannot imagine any professional transporter doing what they did to Ms Hickman. Whatever happened to compassion and professionalism? How could anyone who provides ambulance services do that to anyone?

I read with great dismay the article about Ms Fran Hickman being abandoned by Danbury Ambulance [

I hope Newtown takes into account this horrible situation and does not include them in services to its citizens. No one should be treated this way, no one, especially someone who is handicapped.
