Paul N. Rusnak

Dearly Missed By Friends And Family

Paul “Pavel” N. Rusnak, 79, of Monroe, died July 20. He was born in Carbondale, Penn., March 30, 1931.

Two daughters, including Lisabeth Weber of Newtown, and her husband, Louis; his companion, Iris Robinson of Monroe; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews survive Mr Rusnak. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 45 years, Emily (Skibek) Rusnak.

Mr Rusnak served in the US Army in Germany in the early 1950s, developing a lifelong interest in veterans and veteran affairs. He eventually became a union steamfitter and was a lifelong member of the Plumbers and Steam-fitters Union Local 777 of Bridgeport.

He was very active at Christ the King church in Trumbull, serving as a Eucharistic minister and usher. He was a past commander of both VFW Post 10059 and American Legion Post 141 of Trumbull.

Mr Rusnak was loved by his family and friends and he will be missed dearly.

Funeral services were scheduled for Friday, July 23, at 8:30 am, in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:30 am, in Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Avenue, Trumbull, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery of Easton. Calling hours were scheduled for Thursday, July 22, from 4 to 8 pm.
