Foundation Awards Scholarships

BROOKFIELD — The Macricostas Family Scholarship Foundation, a not-for-profit organization, announced recently that it has awarded scholarships to 23 deserving college students for the 2007-08 academic year. Seventeen of these recipients are children of employees at Photronics facility in Brookfield.

Alyssa Scalora, Newtown High School Class of 2004, was one of the students. Alyssa attends Western Connecticut State University.

The foundation’s mission is to provide financial assistance to children of Photronics employees that have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and personal character.
