Encouraging the young brother and sister were Educational Playcare Assistant Director Keisha Ward and Director Nikole Torres during one of several open houses welcoming parents and children to tour the facility at 2 Saw Mill Road.

Educational Playcare was established more than 30 years ago by husband and wife team Jane Porterfield and Gerry Pastor.

The Newtown facility will be the company’s 17th facility statewide, opening on Monday, August 20. Open houses are being offered each Saturday during the month of August from 10 am to 1 pm.

“Since we opened in 1986, some things have never changed: our commitment to the children we teach and nurture, our commitment to the families who entrust us with their most valuable possessions, and our commitment to our staff, who are really the most important part of what we do,” Ms Porterfield said in a release. “Not a day goes by, let alone a month or a year, where we aren’t continuously working on being better at everything we do.”

Educational Playcare provides nutritious and kid-friendly meals and snacks, an award-winning curriculum, advanced security systems, professional teachers, daily digital communication to families, and arts and enrichment programs that include music, fitness, and yoga lessons — all at no additional cost.

Educational Playcare has also welcomed back many of its previous students to work for them and help nurture the next generation.

Interested families may call 203-872-7686 for information. In addition to their open houses, private tours can be arranged by calling 203-872-7686, or by visiting educationalplaycare.com
