The Newtown Cultural Arts Commission will present The African Queen (1951) on Thursday, September 1, at 1 and 7 pm, at Edmond Town Hall Theatre, 45 Main Street.The African Queen has been my favorite movie forever, and it has the finest actors," said Mr Lerman. "We support the Sunday Cinema Series because this is the rare chance to see older movies on a big screen."The African Queen, adapted from a novel by C.S. Forester, starring Humphrey Bogart in his Oscar-winning portrayal of Charlie Allnut, and Katharine Hepburn as Rose Sayer, who are two characters as polar opposite as they come, yet with great chemistry.
