Janet “June” (Vandetti) Yoburn, 88, died peacefully August 24, at Maplewood Senior Living in Newtown, with her daughter at her side. She was born December 31, 1929, in Danbury.

Her daughter, Cheryl Bivona of Dover Plains, N.Y.; her grandson, Michael of Milford; her granddaughter, Jennifer of Beverly, Mass.; and her two great-grandchildren survive her.

Her husband, Michael Yoburn, predeceased her.

There will be no calling hours.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, September 6, at 10:30 am, at St Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church Hill Road, Newtown. Burial will follow at St Peter’s Cemetery, 71 Lake Avenue Extension, Danbury.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial donations be made to American Parkinson Disease Association at apdaparkinson.org; Alzheimer’s Association alz.org; or Regional Hospice and Palliative Care, 30 Milestone Road, Danbury CT 06810, online at regionalhospicect.org.
