Additional Comments On The First Day

Middle Gate Principal Judy Gallo’s remarks were left out of the First Day of School story that appeared on page A-9 of last week’s Bee.  Ms Gallo reported that 556 students started the first day with 85 staff members.

“We had a very smooth opening this year. Our children entered with big smiles and the staff members who had the opportunity to watch them jump off the buses expressed how inspiring it was to witness their enthusiasm,” Ms Gallo said. “Our staff returned to a number of improvements, such as our wonderful new playground and our new parking lot, which holds an additional 40 cars.”

Ms Gallo thanked the staff for their hard work getting ready for the first day and the school PTA for their staff luncheon.
