65th Anniversary

The 65th anniversary of Ann and Harry Carey was recently celebrated with their family at Stony Hill Inn. The Careys are residents of Lockwood Lodge, having returned to Newtown this year after living at Heritage Village in Southbury for 15 years. The Careys raised their five children in Newtown, where they lived from 1947 until 1992.

Enjoying the get-together were Sally Ann (Sas) Carey; Jason Carey; Julie Petro; Joan Carey and Andy Baron; and Tom and Pat Carey. Also present were some of their 11 grandchildren and four great-grandsons.

The Careys met as students at Danbury Teachers College (now Western Connecticut State University). They were married in Watertown on June 27, 1942.
