The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown (SCAN) has announced its fall schedule of classes. All classes will meet at Newtown Meeting House, 31 Main Street (at the flagpole).

Cost for each class, including model fee, is $180 ($150 for SCAN members).

"Watercolor Techniques," led by by Laura Wilk, will be a four-week series including two full-day sessions that will allo students to complete a painting in one day.

Classes are scheduled for Saturdays, September 20 to October 11. The September 20 and October 11 sessions will each run from 10 am until 12:30 pm. The September 27 and October 4 sessions will each run from 10 am until 4 pm.

"Still Life In Oil," led by Rick Daskam, will meet Wednesdays, from 1 to 3:30 pm. The class will run from September 14 to November 2; however, there are no classes scheduled for September 28 or October 26.

"Oil Portrait with Live Model," led by Harry Burman, will run Thursdays, September 15 to October 6, 9:30 am to 12:30 pm each week.
