The Pootatuck Watershed Association (PWA) is looking for volunteer support with marking storm drains throughout the Newtown and Sandy Hook area on Saturday, September 9. neil.baldino@gmail.com and/or Gunnar Cedergren at cedergrengb@gmail.com if you are willing to attend.

Volunteers should meet outside of the Fairfield Hills municipal building off DG Beers Boulevard at 9 am, and will work until 1 or 2 pm. Water and snacks will be provided. Please dress according to the weather and note that the adhesive used to apply markers could be messy, and not easy to remove from clothing. This event requires sunny, dry weather so if there is any threat of rain, volunteers will be notified of any event changes.

This can count for "volunteer" hours and is a wonderful opportunity to support your local watershed.
