Parenting Your Jewish Child

DANBURY — “Parenting Your Jewish Child” will be the topic for discussion on Tuesday, September 19, at 7:30 pm, at the office of the Jewish Federation.

To help define some of the ways professionals approach many of the child rearing issues, Rabbi Sol Acrish, Temple Beth Elohim of Brewster, N.Y., and Lori Wilson, a nationally certified school psychologist, will discuss ways to help parents through the “rough spots” in raising today’s youth.

Topics for discussion will include: Democratic child rearing; natural consequences vs punishment; improving parent-child communication; developing a child’s sense of responsibility and autonomy; and raising children in the Jewish tradition.

This program is open to the community at no charge. Reservations are requested so that we can insure proper seating. For more information, 792-6353.
