Newtown parents with children in grades K-4 have two opportunities to meet members of Cub Scout Pack 270, and consider joining the pack for the 2018-19 season.

Pack 270, based at Middle Gate Elementary School, 7 Cold Spring Road, will host a recruitment open house on Thursday, September 13, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm.

Cub Scouting offers activities, games, sports, family camping trips, exploring, nature, adventure, advancement, and fun. Cub Scouting builds friendship, respect, character, self-esteem, courage, pride, family values, citizenship, cooperation, and strength.

For those who cannot attend this week’s recruitment event, newcomers and those interested in learning more about the program are invited to attend the pack’s next meeting. The pack will met Thursday, October 4, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm.
