William Zachary Taylor, Jr, passed away at the age of 86 on September 10, 2023. Zack was born on January 26, 1937 in Far Rockaway, N.Y. He was a longtime resident of Newtown, Conn. with his beloved wife Barbara J. Taylor.

In addition to his wife, Zack leaves behind his brother George H. Taylor, his sister, Cynthia T. Carroll, his son Bill Taylor and daughter-in-law Kim, his daughter Jocelyn Russell and son-in-law Craig, and his four grandchildren, Kalli and Anna Taylor and Samuel and Ash Russell. He also leaves behind several other family members and friends as well as his beloved cat, Jeter.

Zack and Barbara were married for almost 55 years. He was a graduate of Middlebury College in Vt. and worked with his brother as manufacturing sales representatives for over 40 years. After retirement, he became a hospice volunteer for the Regional Hospice in Danbury, Conn. for ten years.

Zack was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather who loved to help others. He was an Eagle Scout and loved the outdoors. He will be sorely missed.

A private family gathering will be held.
