FALL CRAFTS PARK AVENUE

CBS/JAR SET 9 /16 #604406

NEW YORK CITY — This year at Fall Crafts Park Avenue there will be a special focus on the nation’s foremost studio jewelers. The show, which will celebrate 20 years October 1–3, will feature jewelers, fabric artists, glass workers, leather workers and others from throughout the United States.

David Paul Bacharach weaves copper and gold to empower his bronze grid bracelet accented with lapis lazuli. Janet O’Rouke used African blackwood and pink ivorywood to illumine delicate laminated carvings in her piece “Secret Love.” Betty David’s jackets are made of Icelandic lamb shearling and are hand painted with vivid strokes, in the Northwest Coast Indian style, suggesting images of bears and other wildlife.

Fall Crafts Park Avenue will take place at the Seventh Regiment Armory at Park Avenue and 67th Street. Show hours are Friday, October 1, 3 to 8 pm; Saturday, October 2, 10 am to 6 pm; and Sunday, October 3, 11 am to 5 pm. Admission is $10 (includes unlimited reentry) and children are free.
