Deadline Approaching For Meserve Memorial Fund Grants

The deadline for greater Danbury area nonprofit organizations to apply for grants from the Meserve Memorial Fund is approaching.

For the winter grant cycle, all applications must be received by Wednesday, October 1. Nonprofit organizations in the towns of Bethel, Bridgewater, Brookfield, Danbury, New Fairfield, New Milford, Newtown, Redding, Ridgefield, and Sherman may apply. The fund focuses on programs and organizations involved in the areas of human services, education, environment, arts and culture and nonprofit capacity building.

The Meserve Memorial Fund was established in 1983, a legacy of the late Mr and Mrs Albert W. Meserve, to support charitable organizations that benefit the greater Danbury region. The fund has provided 710 grants totaling $3,138,000 to more than 100 community organizations over the last 25 years, including $41,450 in the most recent grant cycle.

The fund is administered by the Fairfield County Community Foundation (FCCF) in Norwalk. For further information or a copy of the application and grant guidelines, call Sharon Reiss at FCCF at 203-750-3200.
