Elmer Fedor

Elmer L. "Al" Fedor, 92, of Newtown, formerly of Trumbull, died peacefully September 14 at the Veterans Hospital in West Haven. Born in Mallory, West Va., on February 6, 1925, he was the son of the late Barbara and Josef Fedor.kidney.org.redgatehennessy.com.

His beloved wife of 68 years, Lorraine (Lynch) Fedor, survives him. Mr Fedor was the much loved father of Debbie Simek and her husband Joe of Newtown and Cindy Fedor of Stratford. He is lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Ryan Simek and Jill of New Milford, Troy Simek of Newtown, and Ciara Simek and Sean of Danbury; as well as several nieces and nephews.

His brother, Joseph Fedor; and four sisters, Julia Seaman, Maria Koch, Margaret Hanna, and Helen Santo, predeceased him.

Mr Fedor was a disabled World War II US Army veteran, serving as a light machine gunner in the 42nd Rainbow Division. His disabilities did not hinder him from becoming successful in his career or his personal life. He was employed at the Bodine Corporation as a control supervisor and retired after 42 years of service there.

Family and friends are invited to attend Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Avenue, Trumbull, on September 25, at 11 am, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
