The Middle Gate Elementary School PTA is set to host a community Trunk or Treat event on Saturday, October 22, in the Reed Intermediate School parking lot, 3 Trades Lane, from 2 until 5 pm. Setup for cars will begin at 1 pm.MGtrunkortreat@gmail.com

The event will also include a costume parade, and a haunted house. Prizes for best costume and best decorated car will be awarded.

Last year's Trunk or Treat had roughly 30 decorated cars, and about 150 students participated by dressing in costume and stopping by each vehicle to snag some candy.

Spots for participating cars are limited. Residents can sign up to enter a decorated car for the Trunk or Treat event for $5, and everyone with a car will receive two wristbands for participants. Wristbands for participants, children 12 years old and younger only, are $5.
