Richard M. Faroni

Richard M. Faroni, 62, of St Petersburg, Fla., formerly of Newtown, died October 12 at his home. He was the husband of Mary (Blankenship) Faroni.

Mr Faroni was born in Bridgeport, February 10, 1937, son of Jennie (Syc) Faroni of St Petersburg and the late Marino Faroni.

He was last employed as a machinist for Comstat-RSI of St Petersburg. Mr Faroni was a resident of Trumbull and Newtown until 1990, when he moved to Florida. He was a former longtime employee of the Bullard Company of Bridgeport and served from 1960 to 1963 in the US Army.

In addition to his wife and mother, survivors include two sons, Robert Faroni of Milford and Richard Faroni of Venice, Fla.; one daughter, Dina Smith of Venice, Fla.; one brother, Alfred Faroni of St Petersburg, Fla.; one sister, Carol Kramer of St Petersburg, Fla.; and a grandson.

The funeral was held on October 18 from the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, and in St Rose Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment was in Resurrection Cemetery.
