Fiber Art Exhibit At The Library

The C.H. Booth Library is hosting an exhibit of colorful contemporary fiber artwork called Wild Fabrications by the local group FiberWorks until Thursday, October 26.For more information, visit chboothlibrary.org.

According to the gallery sign, FiberWorks is "a group of artists who create a diverse range of work by combining fiber and other materials in various ways. We enjoy sharing with, learning from, and encouraging each other. We might be in a different place in our art but all are enjoying the journey."

Artists showcased are Sawson Ali of Newtown; Barb Dorry of Newtown; Nike Cutsumpas of Danbury; Dot Bergen of Wilton; Barbara Drillick of Brookfield; Beth Johnson of Oxford; Susi Lehmann of Danbury; Ruth Savasta of Danbury; Norma Schlager of Danbury; and Christine Wilkinson of Southbury.

Those interested in viewing the display, and purchasing any of the art, can visit the library's Genealogy Room, on the second floor, by the front entrance during library hours: Monday through Thursday, 9:30 am to 8 pm; Friday, 11 am to 5 pm; Saturday, 9:30 am to 5 pm; and Sunday, noon to 5 pm.
