To the Editor:

When I think about the qualities that are important in our elected officials responsible for shaping the future of Newtown, the words that come to mind are intelligence, determination, passion, and rationality. Jordana Bloom, candidate for Legislative Council, District 2, possesses all of these qualities and more.

I first met Jordana 15 years ago and was immediately drawn to her intelligence and positive outlook. As the mother of four children, Jordana knows the importance of educational programs that meet a variety of needs. As a former business owner, Jordana also knows the importance of rational fiscal and community responsibility. Jordana's decision to run for Legislative Council is a testament to her determination and passion for moving Newtown forward.

District 2 could not ask for a better representative on the Legislative Council. I urge you to cast your vote for Jordana Bloom on November 7.
