What We Need
To the Editor:
As a lifelong Newtown resident, I would like to express my support for the re-election of Jim Gaston to Newtown's Board of Finance.
As past fire chief of Newtown Hook & Ladder, I had the privilege of getting to know Jim, as he was an integral part of getting the approvals for the building of the new firehouse. He was an outspoken advocate of keeping our new facility where it belongs, in the center of town.
Jim's long service to Newtown speaks for itself. With 14 years on the Board of Finance and four on the Board of Selectman, it is obvious he is trusted by many to serve Newtown. Jim Gaston is an effective leader and a man of integrity. He continually demonstrates the ability to work across party lines. This is what we need!
