Lilly Hill Studio To Present Botanical Art Exhibition
WOODBURY â Lilly Hill Studio will be presenting its second annual Botanical Art Show at Woodbury Library during November.
In this show, held in the library gallery, students of botanical watercolor artist Betsy Rogers-Knox will be exhibiting paintings depicting nature in watercolor, as well as pencil. Many of the paintings will be for sale.
The public is invited to a reception on Saturday, November 4, from 2 to 4 pm.
Ms Rogers-Knox, who has a certificate in Botanical Illustration from New York Botanical Gardens, was a recently selected artist in the American Society of Botanical Artists/Horticultural Society of New Yorkâs ninth annual exhibition, an internationally juried exhibit. Her set of paintings of the historical roses and heritage fruits at the Bellamy-Ferriday House and Garden in Bethlehem has been exhibited at the Oliver-Wolcott library and Gunn Memorial Library.
The artist teaches drawing and painting at the Bellamy, Litchfield Community Center, Heritage Village, and at her studio in Bethlehem, where she continues to paint for exhibitions and commissions.
