The South-West Conference playoff games to be hosted by the Newtown High School girls' volleyball and girls' soccer teams on Monday, October 30, have been rescheduled for Tuesday, October 31.

This change was necessitated by school closings resulting from road closures caused by downed trees and power lines.

Newtown's volleyball team will host Brookfield, and the soccer team will entertain Weston on Halloween; both contests are scheduled to begin at 3:15 pm.

The volleyball match is a quarterfinal-round competition with a berth in the Wednesday, November 1, semifinals on the line. The soccer game is a semifinal matchup for the right to play in the Thursday, November 2, championship game.
