The works of 13 local watercolor artists are on view through November 29 in the Olga Knoepke Memorial Meeting Room at C. H. Booth Library.

This is the second time artist and teacher Claudia Mitchell is being joined by her students in exhibiting works.

The show is titled “Here’s To Painting… Encore,” and it combines five years worth of artwork between the 13 artists. The exhibit follows an exhibit from five years ago that was put on display by Ms Mitchell and her students then, which was titled, “Here’s To Painting.”

The paintings are on view in the library’s meeting room. The works went on view Sunday, November 1, and will remain on display through November 29.

The artists invite the public to join them for an opening reception this Saturday, November 7, between 1 and 3 pm.

Some of the works in the exhibition are for sale.

Artists with works in the exhibit and their email addresses for more information from the artists are Claudia Mitchell, mitchellart@snet.net; Martha Glynn, linwood27@hotmail.com; Linda Cavagna, lcavagna1@gmail.com; Meg Gioffe, meggioffe@gmail.com; Maureen Rohmer, maureen.rohmer@gmail.com; Michelle Rosenthal, micheteach@aol.com; Marianne Zelno, mezelno@aol.com; Bambi Engelman, Bambi0223@charter.net; Robyn Dohrenwend, rdohrenwend@gmail.com; Ellen Mcnamara, ellenmcn7@gmail.com; Ellen Diker, ellen.diker@gmail.com; Liz Arneth, arneth@sbcglobal.net; and Tracy Fiore,   dtfiore@snet.net.

“I’m so proud of everybody here,” said Ms Mitchell on Monday, November 2.

According to Liz Arneth the painters share a special camaraderie.

The group meets weekly to paint under Ms Mitchell’s guidance. The class is made up of those who have been painting their whole lives and as well as those who just recently began.

“We love each other’s company,” said Ms Mitchell.

Maureen Rohmer said the artists also all come from different backgrounds.

“It really is a joyous group,” said Ms Arneth.

Along with sharing paintbrushes, Ms Arneth, Ms Mitchell, Ms Rohmer, Robyn Dohrenwend, and Marianne Zelno said the group also gives each other feedback as they paint.

Along with original works a number of giclée prints of original pieces are on view also. The collection includes a total of 43 paintings.

“Here’s To Painting… Encore” can be viewed any time the library is open, provided the meeting room is not in use: Monday through Thursday, 9:30 am-8 pm; Friday, 11 am-5 pm; Saturday, 9:30 am-5 pm; and Sunday, 12-5 pm.
