Residents Sought For Commission Posts

First Selectman Pat Llodra is seeking residents to fill several opening on local appointed boards and commissions. In some cases the appointments are required to be affiliated with a specific political party, while in other cases unaffiliated voters are encouraged to consider serving.

Current openings exist on:

Conservation, one position available to a Democrat or unaffiliated voter.

Board of Ethics, two alternate vacant positions available to a Republican, Democrat, or an unaffiliated voter.

Design Advisory Board, one position available to a Democrat or unaffiliated voter and two alternate positions available to a Republican, Democrat, or unaffiliated voter (but no more than one of the same party).

Pension Board, one vacant position available to a Democrat or unaffiliated voter.

Economic Development Commission, one vacant position available to any registered voter.

Sustainable Energy Commission, one vacant position available to a Democrat or unaffiliated voter, and one position available to a Republican or unaffiliated voter.

Fairfield Hills Authority, an open position available to any registered voter.

Zoning Board of Appeals, an alternate position open to a Republican or unaffiliated voter.

Cultural Arts Commission, one vacant position available to a Republican or an unaffiliated voter. Candidate recommendations must be received by December 2.

Public Building and Site Commission, one position available to a Democrat or an unaffiliated voter. Candidate recommendations must be received by December 9.
