Fairfield County Giving Day 2016 Announced; Registration Open

Fairfield County Giving Day will return on March 10, 2016.

The event is an intense 24-hour online fundraising competition that unites the community around local causes close to the hearts of those who live in or support Fairfield County groups and organizations. Next year will mark the third annual Fairfield County Giving Day effort, a project of Fairfield County's Community Foundation. 

Those who engage in the day of fundraising are allowed to get the message out in any way possible to their regular supporters, while also hoping to pick up new ones, that they will be seeking donations during the assigned period. There is a $10 minimum per donation, and no maximum. Every gift made during Giving Day is fully tax-deductible.

Join thousands of Fairfield County residents in giving back to some of your favorite local nonprofits. : $1,066,091 donated by 13,161 individuals for 386 nonprofits, all serving Fairfield County. In March 2015, the annual day of giving had extraordinary results

Sixteen Newtown-based nonprofits participated in the 2015 FCCF Giving Day, raising a combined total of $24,770.

Nonprofit registration is now open at  until February 18. Groups that complete their registration by December 16 will have an opportunity to win have a chance to win $1,000.FCGives.org

Registration has opened for the third annual Fairfield County Giving Day, which will take place March 5, 2016. Nonprofit groups that register by December 16 will have an opportunity to win an additional $1,000 toward their goal.
