The New York Times called Willie Nile “one of the most gifted singer-songwriters to emerge from the New York scene in years.” Ben’s Lighthouse will host the performer for a special house concert in town on Saturday, December 1.

Among multiple accolades, Nile’s 2013 album American Ride won Best Rock Album of the Year at the Independent Music Awards in 2014. His 12th studio album, Children of Paradise, was released this past the summer to universal acclaim.

Nile has toured across the country with The Who and has sung with Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band. As the induction program from the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame says, “His live performances are legendary.”

The evening will also include a brief presentation about The Isle of Skoo, the newest program of Ben's Lighthouse.

Francine Wheeler, an advisor for Ben's Lighthouse, told The Newtown Bee recently that she was inspired to create the create the program, which features a variety of puppet friends who need help understanding their emotions, following a service trip to Montana three years ago. The program is part of the "Service Through the Arts" initiatives being hosted by the nonprofit organization.

Tickets are $100 each, which includes cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres, the performance, and a meet and greet with Nile.

Tickets must be purchased in advance; seating is limited. No admittance without advance purchase; the location will be given with ticket purchase.

All proceeds will directly support Ben’s Lighthouse programming.
