To the Editor:

As we approach the end of the year it is the perfect opportunity to reflect on all the positives. I want to take this time to thank the Newtown voters once more for the amazing participation in the November election.

The turnout was well above what many of us expected and reinforces to our younger population the importance of caring about what happens to our state and town.

I do hope that 2017 brings the same participation not only in the political process, but also in the many volunteer groups that exist, servicing our students, elderly, or those in need.

Thank you, Newtown, for being a wonderful community. I am sincerely grateful to all of you that supported my candidacy.
