The holiday season, a time for celebrating and hoping you've chosen that perfect gift. This year we have an opportunity give ourselves a special gift, one that will be enjoyed by all town residents and for generations to come.

I am referring to preserving Cherry Grove Farm from total development. Cherry Grove is one of Newtown's last remaining farms and in just a few short weeks it may be lost unless we can help save it. The Newtown Forest Association hopes with our help to raise enough money to preserve 30 gorgeous acres of meadows, streams, and forest land to benefit our town and its residents.

It would be a real shame to lose such a town treasure and I hope everyone will consider making just one last gift this year [at
