‘Dirty Blonde’ Extended

NEW MILFORD — Due to popular demand (and the snow earlier this month) TheatreWorks New Milford has added a two more dates to its hot winter show, the Broadway hit Dirty Blonde. Additional shows will be offered Friday and Saturday, January 2-3.

In this sweet and quirky comedy, two obsessive Mae West fans fall in love after meeting at her gravesite, with their romance aided and abetted by none other than Ms West herself.

“Demand for tickets has been phenomenal,” said theatre artistic director Bill Hughes. “The show has been playing to packed houses and has been a great way to warp up the 2003 season.”

Directed by Jane Farnol, Dirty Blonde features Susan Pettibone, Jonathan Ross and Steven Oliveri.

Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 pm, and on Sunday, December 21, at 2 pm. All tickets are $15.

On Wednesday, December 31, TheatreWorks will offer a special New Year’s Eve performance at 8 pm. This will be a gala performance complete with hors d’oeuvres and an open bar of wine, beer and soft drinks. Tickets for this event are $30.

Reservations for any show can be made at www.TheatreWorks.us or by calling the box office at 860-350-6863.

TheatreWorks is an award-winning, volunteer professional non-Equity theatre company at 5 Brookside Avenue, just off Route 202 (next to M&B’s IGA) in New Milford.
