Workshop For Those Who

Have Lost A Child

DANBURY — An upcoming workshop will provide education and support for parents who have lost a child. “When You Have Outlived a Child” will take place on Wednesday, January 12, from 1 to 2:30 pm, at The Healing Hearts Center for Grieving Children & Families, 73 Stadley Rough Road.

The Healing Hearts Center for Grieving Children & Families is a program of Regional Hospice. The agency’s Caring Continuum — CARES at Home, Hospice, and Healing Hearts — provides care, comfort and compassion for those touched by life-limiting illness and loss.

This workshop gives participants the opportunity to meet with other parents who have faced similar situations. Those who attend will develop insight and learn strategies for working through their grief.

The workshop will be facilitated by Laurie Petrasanta, MS, a Healing Hearts facilitator with extensive experience helping adults who have lost children.

The Healing Hearts Center for Grieving Children & Families, a program of Regional Hospice, has received national recognition for its unique programs and services for the community. Healing Hearts also offers an ongoing support group for parents and caregivers living with the loss of a child, as well as numerous other support groups, workshops, and programs provided to the public free of cost throughout the year.

For more information or to register for the upcoming workshop, call Healing Hearts at 203-792-4422. To find out more about Regional Hospice, visit www.RegionalHospiceCT.org.
