State Representatives Mitch Bolinsky (R-106) and Martin Foncello (R-107) visited the Newtown Senior Center on April 19 for a “Pizza & Policy” event, where they talked to Newtown seniors about the 2024 Legislative Session and then answered questions on state issues.
Residents donated pre-bagged groceries to help fight hunger for the Newtown Lions Second Annual Stuff-A-Truck Food Drive held on Saturday, April 6 at Stop & Shop in Sand Hill Plaza.

Thank you! BOE budget items lurk in the shadows. Many programs we fund are often dreamed up by the State and pushed down to the districts to implement.
Schools could be consolidated here as enrollment decreases. And some 'luxury' programs should be trimmed. Downsizing administrators and support staff should be considered as well. And a 'few hundred' dollars on top of inflation is a bridge too far.
