Family: Locally it’s me and my fiancée, AmyBeth Laroche, and her daughter Giuliana. I also have two adult kids, Kayla and Travis, who grew up here in town.

How did you meet your fiancée? We met at work. We were in different departments and met through a mutual friend.

Pets: Jack, a German shepherd-pitbull mix, and he is fantastic. Probably the best dog I’ve ever had. He’s great with Giuliana, and he’s amazing.

Any nicknames? Scuba, as in Scuba Steve.

How long have you lived in Newtown? I was here in 2000 until about 2015, then moved out of town. I came back about two and a half years ago.

What do you do for work? I work at Lockheed Martin/Sikorsky in Bridgeport. I’m a manufacturing supervisor on the Black Hawk helicopter line.

Are you an active member of any clubs, organizations, and/or communities of faith? I am a firefighter with Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue. I’m also a member of Pontielandolo Club in Waterbury.

What do you enjoy doing with your free time? I ride my motorcycle and fix up the house. That second one is a hobby that never ends. It helps that I’m pretty handy.

Favorite genre of music? My favorite artist right now is Forrest Blakk. I'm not sure how you'd describe him or his music.

What was the most recent concert you attended? Gin Blossoms at the amphitheater in Bridgeport.

What was the most recent book you read? Men of God.

Favorite author? J.R.R. Tolkien, whose books are also behind some of my favorite movies.

If you could spend the day with one person, living or deceased, who would you choose and why? My father, who passed three years ago, just to pick his brain with stuff. I used to call him all the time.

Favorite color? Red.

Favorite food? Italian.

Favorite season? Spring. It’s not too hot, not too cold, and everything’s coming alive.

What is your favorite thing about Newtown? The people, for sure. The people and the town — everything’s great.

Do you have a personal credo? It is what it is.
