New Mothers Support Group

DANBURY — Danbury Hospital’s Family Birth Center offers “Mother/Baby Talk,” an ongoing support group open to all new mothers and their babies. The group meets weekly at 235 Main Street. Mothers of babies 0 to 5 months meet Tuesdays from 12:30 to 2:30 pm. Mothers of babies 6 to 12 months meet Mondays from 12:30 to 2:30 pm.

Led by Kathleen Moonan, RNC, MS, lactation program coordinator at the Danbury Hospital Family Birth Center, “Mother/Baby Talk” gives new mothers the opportunity to meet with each other. Group members share questions and concerns about breastfeeding, infant care, depression, and any other postpartum issues that arise during the unpredictable weeks and months following birth.

The program is free and welcomes all new mothers, regardless of what hospital they delivered at. There is no need to preregister. For more information, call 739-6877.
