Richard Raino

Richard “Rail” Raino, 45, of Waterbury, previously of Stratford, beloved son of Helen (McNally) Raino of Bridgeport and the late Gilbert Raino, died December 26 in Waterbury Hospital.

Mr Raino was born October 31, 1958 in Bridgeport. He was a United States Air Force veteran and was an electrician in the MU Shop for Metro North.

Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his devoted companion, Lauri Barry of Waterbury; three step-children, Robert, Jennifer, and Sarah Barry, all of Waterbury; two brothers, Michael Raino and his wife Mari of Newtown, and John Raino of Bridgeport; his aunt, Susan Jocis and her husband Richard of Stratford; his uncle, Edward McNally of Bridgeport; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was just predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Mary E. McNally, on December 24.

A funeral service was held December 28, celebrated by Monsignor John Gilmartin in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main Street, Stratford. Interment will be private.
