For Stroke

BRIDGEPORT –– “Risk Factors for Stroke” will be the topic of a free community program on Wednesday, January 14, at 7:30 pm at Bridgeport Hospital’s fourth floor Hollander Auditorium. The speaker will be Dr Jonathan Maisel, director of the hospital’s Early Intervention Stroke Program.

Complimentary refreshments are available from 7 to 7:30 pm in the second floor cafeteria. Parking is free.

The Better Breaking Club will meet 1:30 to 3 pm on January 30 in the hospital’s first floor duPont boardroom. The club provides educational and emotional support for people with chronic respiratory problems. A four-part series, “Living Well With Diabetes,” will be offered from 3 to 5 pm on January 7, 14, 21, and 28 in the duPont board room. The cost is $20 per person. Participants may attend one or more sessions.
