Lila Nash Wesley

Beloved Mother

 And Grandmother

Lila Nash Wesley, 81, of Nunnawauk Meadows, died December 26 in Ashlar of Newtown, after a long illness. Mrs Wesley was the wife of the late Edward C. Wesley. She was born in Mount Kisco, N.Y., September 20, 1927, the daughter of James and Ethel (Ganung) Nash. She and her two brothers, James and Frank (both deceased), spent their early years in Pound Ridge, where her father was an officer in the Civilian Conservation Corps, and in Katonah, N.Y. She was a graduate of Katonah High School.

She and her husband, whom she married in 1948, built their home in Croton Falls, where they lived before retiring to Ansonia to be closer to family.

Mrs Wesley worked as a full-charge bookkeeper for H.H. Park, a Gulf Oil distributor in Katonah, for many years before retiring. She enjoyed cross-stitch, gardening, and travel. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, who will miss her very much.

Mrs Wesley is survived by her children, James E. Wesley and his wife, Linda, of Newtown and Karen Budnick and her husband, Leo, of Stratford; and five grandchildren, Kathryn Frank, Andrew Geruntho, John Wesley, David Wesley, and Leo Budnick.

A funeral service was held December 29 in the Honan Funeral Home, Newtown. Private cremation followed.
