WEST CHESTER, PENN. — The Chester County Historical Society’s 23rd Annual Antiques Show returns to QVC Studio Park on March 12 and 13, with the theme “Fabulous Finds.” Highlights of the show include 49 dealers, presentations by special guests and an opportunity for each visitor to have an antique object of American decorative arts appraised by an expert.

A preview reception takes place March 11 and there is an event just for young collectors on March 12.

Dealers will feature the decorative arts of the Eighteenth and Nineteenth centuries, including furniture, rare glass and prints, export porcelain, folk art, quilts, silver, rugs, paintings, and more.

Additionally, several special guests will present a programs: Brock Jobe, professor of American Decorative Arts at Winterthur Museum in Delaware, will discuss antique furniture, along with antiques’ dealers H.F. Chalfant and Walt Mullen, who will provide examples for case studies in antiquing. The three speakers will share their love of early objects and in the process, offer useful clues for evaluating American furniture.
