Women’s Center Seeking

 Hotline Volunteers

DANBURY — The winter sexual assault hotline training schedule for prospective Women’s Center volunteers has been announced. The 31-hour training certifies a volunteer to perform crisis intervention at the center during business hours or from home when the center is closed.

Evening trainings will begin January 25 and end March 7.

Last year the Women’s Center of Greater Danbury served 2,368 residents through its free and confidential services of crisis intervention, emergency shelter, counseling services, advocacy services, community education and prevention programs, and information and referral services.

Call Chrissy Deep, volunteer coordinator, at 731-5200, extension 202, for more information or to register.

The Women’s Center of Greater Danbury provides free and confidential services to prevent or lessen the trauma associated with domestic violence, sexual assault, and other major life transitions to thousands of women, children, and men annually.
