Rosa Maria (Curcio) Farrell, 47, of Newtown died December 31 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. She was born in New York City, March 18, 1967, to Maria and Guiseppe Curcio.

She will be missed by her large family and many friends and neighbors who knew her to be kind, caring, and generous. People will always remember her Italian three-color cookies around Christmas, her pizza from scratch on Friday nights, and the hundreds of crocheted hats donated to the cancer center and children’s hospital at Yale.

Her husband Terence Farrell and children Ryan and Caitlin of Sandy Hook; her mother; her sister Giuseppina (Curcio) Lam, and her husband Daniel, and their children, Aaden and Jacob, survive Ms Farrell.

A Mass of Christian Burial took place January 5.
