Warmth When It Was Needed

To the Editor:

At a most poignant time of the year, Thursday December 24th my mother Euriella (Loretta) Ostuni passed away. Along with making arraignments my husband and I went to My Place Restaurant and sat with Louise Tambascio to schedule a luncheon after the services.  We couldn’t of made a better choice. Louise knew exactly what we were feeling and suggested a warm menu.

The day of the funeral, the weather was true to the East coast in December. It held no mercy, rain, snow flurries, sleet and biting temperatures. My family and all those who stood with us at the gravesite longed to be sheltered and warm. The greeting by Louise and her wonderful staff left nothing to the imagination.  At our entrance, coffee, tea and hot chocolate was abundant.  The care and cordialness was beyond measure. The menu of soup/salad and an array of dinner and comfort foods was perfect and delicious.

Louise and her staff made us feel at home, something my family and I needed. Our out-of-town guests who were at My Place for the first time said, “What a gem of a restaurant, Louise is delightful and we’ll be back”.

Thank you Louise and your wonderful staff for your guidance and care at a time that is was most needed.

Warm regards,

Deborah (Ostuni), James Stiewing & family.
