Margaret “Peg” J. Cragin, 68, passed away unexpectedly under the care of Danbury Hospital on January 1, 2024. She was the only daughter of the late Allan E. and Patricia C. Cragin.

Peg grew up in Newtown and attended local schools, graduating from Newtown High School. She went on to receive her college education at Western Connecticut State College.

After retirement, she moved to Heritage Village, where she enjoyed her circle of neighbors, who later became close friends. The closest were Jo, Joe, and Carole, with whom she often spent quality time.

Peg is best remembered for her dry sense of humor and a quick wit. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Peg is survived by her brothers, Michael and his wife Susan, Kevin and his wife Kathy, Brian and his wife Kathy, Patrick and his wife Joan; as well as her nephews Daniel and Andrew, all of Newtown.

Peg will be interred with her mother, Patricia, in Resurrection Cemetery in Newtown. To leave an online condolence please visit munsonloveterefuneralhome.com.
