Waldorf School Slates Children’s Music Workshop

The Housatonic Valley Waldorf School, 40 Dodgingtown Road, has scheduled a Music With Children workshop for Saturday, January 14, from 9 am to 5 pm. The class costs $220 and interested participants need to register for the event.

According to the school, the workshop teach songs that reflect the seasons, and more. Participants will be introduced to the two instruments that are fundamental to Waldorf Education in early childhood and the early grades: the kinder lyre and the pentatonic flute.

Participants are asked to bring a kinder lyre or a pentatonic flute, if owned, but it is not a prerequisite for taking the workshop. Kinder lyres will be provided for the day if needed.
