Michele Ann Favreau, of Nunnawauk Meadows, passed away peacefully with her three children by her side on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.

She is survived by three children: Tina Calhoun and her husband, Robert, of Glenmont, N.Y.; Brian Favreau and his wife, Sherri, of Naugatuck; and Nicole Calorossi and her husband, Christopher, of Danbury; and four grandchildren: Robert and Nicholas Calhoun of Glenmont, N.Y., Nichole Gelinas of Watertown, Conn., and Aimee Gelinas of Waterbury, Conn. Michele was a very hard-working individual who retired at age 73. In her spare time, Michele enjoyed spending time with family, completing word search puzzles, going to the movies, baking, cooking, and collecting recipes. She proudly won a blue ribbon two years in a row for the local apple bake-off.

She was known for her kindness, humor, Irish temperament, and matter-of-fact outlook on life. Some of her favorite quotes being: “Let’s not beat around the bush,” “You can’t take the country out of the bumpkin,” and “Life may not be the party we asked for, but while we are here, we should dance!”

In lieu of a ceremony or flowers, friends wishing to honor Michele are invited to make a donation in her name to Nunnawauk Meadows Resident’s Association of Newtown or Regional Hospice of Danbury, Conn.

Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown is serving the family.

    Dear Nicole and Family,
You have my deepest condolences. Nicole you have always been there for me,you are a true friend and I truly know why it is because of your mom. It was such a pleasure that I was able to meet your mom when we all attended the big Apple Circus. We all smiled and enjoyed my girls watching the performers. When the show ended we hug each other good-bye. I will always remember that day. Nicole you are more then a friend to me you are sister. I will always be here for you and your family. God bless and Rest In Peace Mama Michele❤️??
