Anna (DeJulia) Williams, 87, of Newtown, wife of the late Franklyn L. Williams, died January 6 at home, with loved ones by her side. She was born in Danbury, August 25, 1928, and was a daughter of the late Lena (Giordono) and William DeJulia.

She attended Danbury schools, was a former hatter, and, for many years, a homemaker. Mrs Williams was an avid bingo player.

She loved being surrounded by family and friends. “She has touched our lives and we are forever blessed by the time we’ve shared.” Mrs Williams will be greatly missed by many who knew her.

A son, Mark A. Williams, and his wife Danielle; two daughters, Gina Carreras, and her husband Manuel, Sr, with whom she made her home, and Annmarie Conroy, and her husband Donald; a daughter-in-law, Rachel Williams of Danbury; a brother, Jerry DeJulia, and his wife Julia, of Danbury; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren (with one on the way); and several nieces and nephews survive Mrs Williams. In addition to her husband, parents, and siblings, her son, Ret Det Robert Williams, preceded her in death.

There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, January 9, at 10 am, in St Joseph Church, 386 Main Street, Danbury. Interment will follow in the family plot, at St Peter Cemetery, Danbury.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Regional Hospice and Home Care of Western CT, 30 Milestone Road, Danbury CT 06810, or to the Bethel Visiting Nurse Association, 70 Stony Hill Road, Bethel CT 06801, would be appreciated.

Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home,  Danbury, is in charge of arrangements.
