Half Price Tuition For Non-Credit Students

TORRINGTON — Adriane Lyon, director of UConn – Torrington Campus has announced that individuals interested in sitting in on classes can do so for half the usual cost. Applications for this waiver are available at the Torrington Campus, and students interested in taking advantage of this opportunity should call the campus for more information on non-credit, half price tuition waiver, course listing, and general information about the University of Connecticut at 860/626-6800.

All courses with at least seven extra seats available can be enrolled in on a not-for-credit basis for half the usual cost of the class. Available courses include anthropology, biology, chemistry, communication sciences, drama, economics, English, history, mathematics, philosophy, physics, political science, psychology, sociology, and statistics. Students choosing this option will not write papers or take tests or exams. They will not receive transcripts indicating their presence in the class. This is an option for individuals who are simply interested in enjoying the opportunity to learn the subject matter and being exposed to the expertise of the professor. This option is available to people under the age of 62. Seniors who are 62 or older should plan to take advantage of the $15 a semester option, which allows them to audit any course with seats available.
